ANCIENT TIBETAN AGATE TASSO HORSE TOOTH dZi BEAD c1000 BC to 300 AD. A delightful ancient agate Tasso bead displaying a fine usage patina and weathering commensurate with age. Age: 2000 years + or – as with all ancient beads of this type very difficult to date exactly. Measures 26 mm x 11 mm, weighs 4.3 grams. For thousands of years a wealth of stone beads have been traded and heirloomed within the Himalayas. These beads have become deeply rooted in Tibetan & Himalayan folklore and their spiritual traditions. I feel very privileged to be able to offer this beads to you, it is a very warm tactile bead. The Agate bead has a white/cream colour with deep brown’single’ wavey stripe known as Tasso dZi (Horse Tooth) in Tibet and the east, i t is holed by hand vertically. Tasso dZi are becoming difficult to find so don’t miss this one. This bead was collected originally before 1970 and has remained in a private collection since this time. Condition: Good with no breaks or repairs, some age related crazing. It would be a quality addition to any dZi bead collection, a must have for any ancient bead of Heaven collector. Agate enhances creativity and strengthens the intellect. It is also known as a good luck stone. As a stone of harmony, one of the things agate does is bring balance to energy.
