A delightful ancient agate eye bead displaying a fine usage patina and weathering commensurate with age. Prized in Tibet and the Himalayan regions. No breaks or repairs. Age: 1000 BCE to 300 BCE. Size: 26mm x 25mm x 11mm depth, weighs 8.3 grams approximately. For thousands of years a wealth of stone beads have been traded and heirloomed within the Himalayas. These beads have become deeply rooted in Tibetan & Himalayan folklore and their spiritual traditions. I feel very privileged to be able to offer this beads to you, it is a very warm tactile eye bead that has a warm energy. The bead has a white agate flattened surfaces to the base and a nice light amber goats eye (Luk Mik), it is holed by hand vertically away from the eyes, not disturbing the energy of the stone. This is an exceptional example from my collection originally acquired in Tibet before 1970. It would be a quality addition to any ancient bead collection, a must have for any ancient bead of Heaven collector. Agate enhances creativity and strengthens the intellect. One of the stories describes the dzi (formed by none human beings) were once wore by semi-gods in heaven as ornaments during ancient times. When the dzi gradually blemished, the semi-god throw it to the earth. Therefore, no one can ever find the beads in perfect condition. It is also believed that the dzi beads were made from meteorites fell from outer space thousands of years ago. The magnetic field of dzi bead is three times stronger than the normal crystals.
